Delwood Consultancy Services with its in depth expertise offers full events management and marketing assistance, from conception to execution along with support services for projects and events that require additional expertise and resources. Built with the philosophy to promote education through sporting, arts and cultural activities. Delwood was established in 2004 in Dubai Media City as part of the Delwood group of companies, the first of its offices which opened in France in 1991 now includes offices in Switzerland. The companies’ paramount event is The Legends “Rock” Dubai, an annual tennis tournament that first took place in 2004. Bringing to the UAE Legendary tennis Champions for visitors to watch their skill and grace on the court once more. Each year has brought with it considerable growth and development for the tournament, maturing from an exhibition event to a competitive event by becoming part of the Outback Champions Series. Delwood is not only pursuing high profile event marketing and sponsorship opportunities but has been making headlines with its own sponsorship of World Match Play champion and Dubai based Henrik Stenson. Stenson is one of the four golfers to have signed agreements to promote the Delwood brand on the professional tour along with French stand out Sophie Giquel, British legend Barry Lane and Johan Edfors from Sweden. Co-owners of the art gallery B21 which was voted gallery of the year by Time Out Dubai in December 2007, the gallery’s involvement in events such as Art Dubai and Art Paris Abu Dhabi plays a key role in educating the general public and promoting rising Middle Eastern contemporary artists. The Khalili Family Trust is the owner of the single largest collection of Islamic Art in the world. Delwood as representatives of the Trust had the privilege to collaborate with the Tourism Development Investment Company who brought the “The Arts of Islam” exhibition to Abu Dhabi; the first exhibition of its kind in the GCC region. In line with its objectives of promoting art; Delwood brought a different act to the stage; that of educating audiences on cultural and social issues through the art of laughter. The first venture was to bring the “Maz Jobrani and Friends Show” to Dubai and Abu Dhabi that brought together audiences from different cultural backgrounds to tears. Following the comedy shows great success Delwood enter a partnership with Showtime Arabia in order to collectively develop greater participation of Middle Eastern comedians on the International Comedy circuit, offering audiences a series of Friday Night Live stand up comedy extravaganzas. Consequently bringing back an outstanding comedian from the Friday Night Series, Sugar Sammy to entertain Dubai audiences and headline his own show in the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre. With an established reputation for successfully promoting sporting and cultural events and actively looking to associate these with charities ranging from the Dubai Autism Centre and the Dubai Special Needs Centre to King Hussein’s Cancer Foundation. In addition to being a platinum sponsor of the Dubai Community Theatre and Art Centre at the Mall of the Emirates, affirming the company’s commitment to supporting non-profit organisations in the region.
