The International Dance Company (IDC) is a dance company based in Knowledge Village, Dubai. The IDC dance instructors are all professional dancers and champions in different parts of the world (Latin America, Africa and Asia) here in Dubai to teach dancing in a new, fun and social atmosphere. What is Dance? Dance is a form of visual and oral history. It tells a story; of how dance is, how dance was and how we wish the world to be. It shows us the path our souls take on their journey of discovery. Dancing is more than a process or a language: It is an ongoing reminder to focus our attention on the flow between ourselves and others based on a mutual giving from the heart. Dance is like any art form, dance is a representation of human emotion, conflict and overall life. Like the rest of the art world, it should be accessible to all humanity. Who can dance? Dance is for everyone and has many benefits such as: Co-ordination, concentration and focus, communication and creative expression, co-operation through teamwork, courtesy, manners, caring for others, sharing happiness and inner thoughts. It encourages active awareness of space and self without judgment, while constantly considering the bodies’ use of energy, focus and thrust.
